Ben and Allison were married in July 2000. After six years of marriage, they decided to add something else to the mix. Brady joined the family in February 2007 to make it a trio.
On Saturday, Brady's Mom, Dad, Nana, Grandad, Grandma, Grandpa, 4 great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins celebrated his first birthday! For his first birthday, Brady got to enjoy his first cupcake. As you can see, I think he liked it - blue is Brady's color!
As you can see from the above picture, it was finally time for Brady to get his first haircut (and he had to look good for his first birthday). So, we headed to Cookie Cutter's to get his haircut. There, Brady rode in a red car, watched Baby Einstein, and oh yeah, he also got a haircut. To top of the day, Brady was given his first balloon for being a good customer.
On Monday evening, it started snowing in Louisville. By Tuesday morning, we had about 4 inches of snow with a top layer of ice... which meant no school for Momma and Daddy went to work late (yeah!). So that morning, we bundled up Brady in his snowsuit and took him out to play. Unfortunately, the ice made it very difficult for him to walk around or feel the snow.
On Saturday, Brady went to Jack's first birthday party! He loved playing with his friends and then Jack showed Brady how to eat birthday cake! As you can see in the last picture, Brady was eyeing Jack's yummy cake but Jack was not going to share. That's okay Brady, you will get to try cake soon!
After weeks of cold weather and freezing temperatures, Brady and Dad are ready for Spring! So on Sunday, they headed to the Louisville Slugger Musuem with big hopes and dreams for the upcoming Reds season. The Cincinnati Reds Winter Caravan travels around Reds Country to give baseball fans with cabin fever something to look forward to in the Spring. Grandpa and Grandma joined Dad and Brady to meet several Reds players, coaches, announcers, and Mr. RedLegs. Go Reds!
As you can see from the pictures, there was so much baseball excitement that Brady could not keep his eyes on the camera! Also, Brady is getting so big that he has already grown out of his first Reds hat!
After all the excitement of the holidays, Brady has been relaxing for a couple of weeks (and growing a lot). He needs a haircut! He has grown out of his infant car seat and is now in a bigger one (which he can use until he is 5!). And, his favorite toy is the dining chair - he can move it all over the dining room. Oh, and I forgot to mention that he is walking across the floor on his own. Brady has definitely become a little boy in January and his mom and dad can not believe how fast he is changing! Happy 60th Birthday Grandad! We all wish we could celebrate with you (lying on the beach) in Florida! Since we can't be there, here are a few pictures of our good times together! Love, Brady
Of course, aunt Julie did a very cool slideshow of Grandad, to view click on the link below: http://www.juliethackerphotography.com/slideshows/slideshow.php?Slideshow=Dad&Testing=true
