Brady in Central Park

For Spring Break, Brady and I went to Ashland for several days. The weather was perfect so we had to make a stop by Central Park to play. In Ashland, life revolves around Central Park during the spring, summer, and fall. I have many wonderful memories of the park including many visits to the park with my Papa Whitt when I was young. We would eat lunch, feed french fries to a few lucky squirrels, and then head to the swings where he would push me so high that I knew I was going to flip over. Hopefully, Brady will make his own memories there.

Brady loved the swings. This was his first time on a swing and I think he would have stayed all day!

Brady visits the zoo

With wonderful Spring temperatures in Louisville on Sunday, we headed to the zoo for our first family zoo trip!

Brady saw Scotty, the baby elephant, who is the same age as Brady. I think you can barely see Scotty beside his mother in the picture.

I think Brady was a big fan of the gorillas, especially after he got up close and personal with this one.

I think Brady's favorite part of the zoo didn't involve any of the animals. He could have watched the train all day.

It was time to go, but first it was feeding time for the giraffes (feeding cost $1). Brady's mom and dad quickly learned that the zoo staff do not take credit or have change.

It was a wonderful day! Hopefully, the first of many zoo trips this year!

Happy Easter!

Last weekend, Brady celebrated Easter with his cousins at Nana and Grandad's. They all had an Easter egg hunt but Jordan, Jacob, and Jill had strict instructions not to 'find' Brady's eggs (they were easy to spot because they were the ones in the middle of the yard). The Easter eggs were not hard to find but I don't think Brady wanted to look for them.

Brady found the Easter basket that the Easter bunny left for him. Of course, chocolate was absent from his basket but he did get Goldfish and Animal Crackers for a treat - yummy!

For Easter, Brady went to Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter dinner. He had another Easter egg hunt but this time he was much more interested in the street. Brady also got an Easter bunny that he made at Build-a-Bear with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Christian.

Brady turns 1!

On Saturday, Brady's Mom, Dad, Nana, Grandad, Grandma, Grandpa, 4 great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins celebrated his first birthday! For his first birthday, Brady got to enjoy his first cupcake. As you can see, I think he liked it - blue is Brady's color!

Happy 1st Birthday Brady!

Brady's First Haircut....

As you can see from the above picture, it was finally time for Brady to get his first haircut (and he had to look good for his first birthday). So, we headed to Cookie Cutter's to get his haircut. There, Brady rode in a red car, watched Baby Einstein, and oh yeah, he also got a haircut. To top of the day, Brady was given his first balloon for being a good customer.

Brady's First Snow...

On Monday evening, it started snowing in Louisville. By Tuesday morning, we had about 4 inches of snow with a top layer of ice... which meant no school for Momma and Daddy went to work late (yeah!). So that morning, we bundled up Brady in his snowsuit and took him out to play. Unfortunately, the ice made it very difficult for him to walk around or feel the snow.

Happy Birthday Jack!

On Saturday, Brady went to Jack's first birthday party! He loved playing with his friends and then Jack showed Brady how to eat birthday cake! As you can see in the last picture, Brady was eyeing Jack's yummy cake but Jack was not going to share. That's okay Brady, you will get to try cake soon!

Happy Birthday Jack!
